| About MEXCHAM
The origin of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) began in March 2008 when a group of Mexican entrepreneurs dedicated to promoting closer business relations between Mexico and China, decided to start a not for profit private entity which would represent the Mexican business sector in China concerning commercial and investment projects between the two countries.
MEXCHAM seeks to cultivate and strenthen economic and commercial bilateral relations between Mexico and China by providing help and support to the Mexican Government as well as private and public entities in their development of these relations. MEXCHAM´s mission is to increade the export of Mexican products and raise the level of foreign direct investment in Mexico.

| December 2008 |
On December 10, 2008, at the CEIBS Finance Research Center of Shanghai, the Presentation Ceremony for the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China is carried out. In attendance are the Ambassador of Mexico in China, the General Consul of Mexico in Shanghai, a miltitude of members from various diplomatic sectors, and a large number of Mexican and Chinese business people. |
| November 2008 |
MEXCHAM forms its first board of directors and incorporates a total 40 founding members in to the Chamber. |
| October 2008 |
The group meets with the Ambassador of Mexico in China to hand in MEXCHAM´s first document of presentation. |
| September 2008 |
Now a group of ten members, the entrepreneurs, adopt the statutes which will govern the functioning of MEXCHAM. |
| April 2008 |
The five entrepreneurs christen the association as the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) and the domain name www.mexcham.org is purchased. |

Five young entrepreneurs meet in Shanghai to discuss the possibility of forming a chamber of commerce in china. | |
