MEXCHAM at the 14th China-LAC Business Summit
The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) successfully joined the 14th China-Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) and Chongqing People’s Municipal Government held in Chongqing last November 16-17th, 2021 (hereinafter “CHINA-LAC Business Summit”).
Along two days of the Summit, dozens of speakers from both China and Latin American and Caribbean participated in different panels. Mr. Efrén Calvo, President of MEXCHAM, also addressed a speech during the Summit.
In addition, Mr. Victor Cadena, Vice President of MEXCHAM, signed a strategic MOU between CCPIT Chongqing and MEXCHAM for promoting trade and investments between Chongqing and Mexico.
MEXCHAM leaded the largest delegation of companies with more than 25 delegates and 10 exhibitors attending the Summit. Mr. Carlos Larrea, Ambassador of Ecuador to China, Mr. Fernando Lugris, Ambassador of Uruguay to China and Mr. Santiago Toledo, Commercial Counselor from the Mexican Embassy to China, kindly acted as witness of honor for the “ribbon cutting”.
In addition to the sessions carried out on the main stage, MEXCHAM hosted a subpanel where some delegates introduced and promoted their companies.
Special mention to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, and industrial hub in northern Mexico which is looking to attract Chinese investments and companies.
Finally, an official announcement was made appointing Ecuador as the host country of the 15th edition of the China-Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit to be held next 2022. Mr. Carlos Larrea, Ambassador of Ecuador to China as well as MEXCHAM invite the business community in both China and Latin America and the Caribbean, to join the next edition of this Summit in Guayaquil, Ecuador.
MEXCHAM continues building bridges between Mexico and China.
