MEXCHAM joined 2019 ICLCF

2019 International Commercial & Legal Cooperation Forum successfully held!

Last November 26-28, 2019 was held the International Commercial & Legal Cooperation Forum in Changsha, Hunan Province.

This Forum was hosted by China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and organized by CCPIT Legal Affairs Department, Commercial Legal Service Center and Changsha Municipal People’s Government.

The forum included dozens of presentations on International legal and commercial matters including dispute resolutions, compliance, finance, trade, investments and Intellectual Property, among others.

During the Forum a special subforum was held on Mexico-China Business and Legal Environment Promotion. As special guest Ambassador Carlos Giralt, General Consul of Mexico in Guangdong Province joined the forum.

Javiel Jileta, General Director of Economic Prospective and Global Linkage from the Mexican Ministry of Foreign Affairs spoke, among others, about the policies of Mexico government for increasing trade and investments between China and Mexico.

Victor Cadena, Executive Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) moderated the Sub-forum and presented on the opportunities and challenges for doing business between China and Mexico.

Jorge León, managing partner at Santamarina & Steta Law Firm, spoke about Mexico’s Free trade Agreements and opportunities for investments in Mexico.

Sergio Chagoya, partner at Santamarina & Steta Law Firm, presented on Fintech regulations and opportunities in Mexico based on transactions of Chinese banks and Mexican companies.

Eric Hernandez, partner at Greenberg Trauring Law Firm Mexico spoke about opportunities for Chinese companies in infrastructure and energy projects in Mexico.

MEXCHAM continues building bridges between Mexico and China.
