MEXCHAM joins 2025 China-LAC Business Summit（1/2）

第十八届中国—拉美企业家高峰会（“CHINA-LAC”）是中国与拉丁美洲国家间每年最重要的经贸会议之一。本届峰会于2025年11月3日至4日在中国郑州举行。会议由中国国际贸易促进委员会、河南省人民政府、中国人民银行共同主办，主题为“拥抱创新与智能，共赢未来”。

The 18th China-Latin America Business Summit (“CHINA-LAC”) is one of the most important conferences between China and Latam every year. This time was held in Zhengzhou, China, from November 3 to 4, 2025. Jointly hosted by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the People’s Government of Henan Province, and the People’s Bank of China, the summit’s theme is “Embracing Innovation and Intelligence, Win-Win for the Future.”
The Opening ceremony commenced with Governor Wang Kai of the Henan Provincial People’s Government presiding and introducing the distinguished guests in attendance.

The plenary session included a key note speech by Ren Hongbing, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

At the conclusion of the opening ceremony, the “Zhengzhou Initiative for Cooperation between Chinese and Latin American and Caribbean Business Communities” was released.

Supported by the Mexican Embassy in China, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce (MEXCHAM) lead a business delegation of over 20 business represantatives who jointly participate in the 18th China-Latin America Business Summit. The delegation included companies such as Asia IBS, XPD GLOBAL, SINOLINES, TERRA REGIA, MONEX BANK , ORCAMAR STRATEGIES, LCB LAWYERS, KUNMIN HUMANAN , QIMA, DADAO , among others.

On November 3, 2025, during the China-LAC New Energy Vehicles Forum, Victor Cadena, Executive Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce (MEXCHAM), participated in the panel discussion. During his presentation, he pointed out that Mexico is the 5th largest vehicle manufacturer worldwide and largest in Latam region, also Mexico ranks as the largest car and autoparts exporter to US. Meanwhile, Mexico was the 2nd world largest importer of chinese cars in 2024 and in 1H 2025 became the worlds largest importer of chinese cars.

In the afternoon, one of the four parallel sessions — the China–Latin America Dialogue on Air Cargo Hubs and Cross-Border Trade — was held at the Zhengzhou International Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 200 distinguished guests from various sectors gathered to jointly outline a new blueprint for cross-border logistics and inject new momentum into the development of a “dual-hub” air logistics network between China and Latin America.

During this parrellel session, Santiago Toledo, Commercial Counselor of the Mexican Embassy in China, focused on the development and prospects of the “Zhengzhou–Mexico City” dual-hub model. He highlighted the remarkable achievement in cargo connectivity between China and Mexico. Among various routes, he pointed out Mexico City and Zhengzhou city are connected by a direct cargo flight（AWSOME cargo & MT INTL Holding）with five flights per week, which reflects the trade relevance between Henan and Mexico.
