On September 1, 2025, the President of the United Mexican States, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, presented the First State of the Nation Report 2024-2025.
President Claudia Sheinbaum, in her first government report, emphasized the continuation of the Fourth Transformation, highlighting her responsibility as the first female president. She reported poverty reduction from 41.9% in 2018 to 29.5% in 2024, improved inequality index, and pledged to build a more just Mexico with humanist principles.
Welfare programs are a focus, with 850 billion pesos (2.3% of GDP) allocated in 2025, benefiting 32 million families. This includes pensions for the elderly, support for the disabled, and new women’s pension programs, aimed at prioritizing the poor.
Economic achievements include record foreign investment inflows, unemployment down to 2.7%, and inflation at 3.5%. In security, intentional homicides decreased by 25%, and high-impact crimes by 20%. Progress was also made in infrastructure and foreign policy, including railway investments and international cooperation.
Future plans include the “Mexico Plan” to promote regional development, judicial reforms, and water resource management, continuing to strengthen Mexico’s sovereignty and people’s well-being.
