Aguascalientes is now one of the five most competitive states in Mexico, with an economy growing at twice the national average. During the event, the governor welcomed the Indian company and highlighted the strategic ties between India and Aguascalientes. “Welcome to the Giant of Mexico, we welcome you with open arms. Work and friendship are the mirror in which India and Aguascalientes recognize each other as close and strategic allies. “he said.
TAFE’s arrival in the state reflects the success of the promotional tour carried out in India, where relationships of trust and reciprocity were established that facilitated investment. According to Garza de Vega, Aguascalientes was chosen because of its solid manufacturing ecosystem and the legal and economic certainty it offers investors. Sandeep Sinha, CEO of TAFE, emphasized that the decision to set up in the state was not a coincidence.
The project also includes the production of electric tractors, in line with the vision of promoting innovation, sustainable mobility, and technological development in the region. “We are building an innovation hub and a talent hub that is already attracting global leaders,” said Garza de Vega.
Tere Jiménez emphasized that both territories agree on promoting strategic sectors such as automotive, clean energy, manufacturing, e-commerce, tourism, and specialized talent training. She emphasized that Aguascalientes offers investors a peaceful, secure environment with legal certainty and a solid rule of law, positioning the state as one of the five most competitive in the country and one of the three with the best economic performance.
For his part, Sandeep Sinha, CEO of TAFE, highlighted that the company, with 65 years of experience and 14,000 employees globally, manufactures more than 160,000 tractors per year, making it the third largest in the world. “Less than a year ago, we decided to establish a presence in Mexico, and here we are. We have a commercial office in Querétaro and now an assembly plant in Aguascalientes. This would not have been possible without the support of the state government. We choose our partners well,” said Sinha.
He also announced that the company will work with local suppliers, which will open up new opportunities for trade with India.
