China Yuchai delivers first 600 buses to Mexico

Recently, a batch of buses equipped with China Yuchai natural gas engines was successfully delivered to Nuevo León, Mexico, providing stable and reliable power support for the upgrade of the local public transportation system. This delivery is part of the first batch from an order of 600 natural gas buses secured by Yuchai in 2024.

01 Market Development

Since entering the Mexican market, Yuchai Group has deeply cultivated its presence over the years, achieving leapfrog development in its natural gas engine business—from scratch to prominence. To date, Yuchai holds over 60% of the market share in Mexico’s natural gas bus powertrain sector, with the largest number of units in operation among all engine brands. In recent years, Yuchai has continued to strengthen its efforts in Nuevo León’s bus market, securing three batches of orders for natural gas buses.

Thanks to its high-quality products and attentive service, Yuchai has earned high recognition from the local government and bus companies in Nuevo León, significantly enhancing its brand image in the region.
