In July 2025, the sale of hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles in Mexico reached 10,612 units, representing 8.5% of total light vehicle sales. Although slightly lower than July 2024, the market maintains a positive annual cumulative trend.
Hybrids dominated with 79.8% share (8,466 units) in July, while EVs accounted for 13.6% (1,442) and plug-in hybrids 6.6% (704). Jan-July cumulative sales reached 76,562 units, up 17.4% YoY with market share rising to 9.2%.
Plug-in hybrids surged 9.5% YoY (July) and 43.3% (Jan-Jul), while hybrids grew 11.5% (July) and 30% (Jan-Jul). Top regions: Mexico City (20,067), State of Mexico (10,540), Nuevo León (7,568).
