MEXCHAM joins 2025 China-LAC Business Summit（2/2）

On 4th November 2025, the China-LAC Trade Promotion Organizations (“TPO’s Round Table Meeting”) convened as part of the CHINA-LAC Summit held in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, During the opening segment, addresses were delivered by Liu Jiannan, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT); Liu Bing, Vice Chairman of the Henan Provincial CCPIT; and Ma Zhifeng, Vice Mayor of Zhengzhou City.

The conference centred on two themes: “A Decade of the China-CELAC Forum: Evaluating Economic and Trade Achievements and Charting the Course for Future Collaboration” and “Innovation and Intelligence as the New Engine: The Evolving Role of China-LAC TPOs in Digital Collaboration”

During the TPO Meeting, Commercial Consellor form Mexican Embassy in China Santiago Toledo and MEXCHAM‘s Vice President Victor Cadena, pointed out the achievents, challenges and opportunities between Mexico and China from the perspective of Mexico’s goverment and private sector, respectevely.

Bilateral trade between Mexico and China in 2024 was about USD 130 Billion, which places Mexico as China’s 2nd largest trading partner in Latin America and China is to Mexico its 2nd largest trading partner worldwide.

After the TPO round table, representatives from MEXCHAM and CCPIT Henan Sub-Council signed a Memorandum of Understanding for promoting bilateral trade and investment between Henan and Mexico.

During TPO Meeting, the China-LAC Business Matchmaking Session was held, MEXCHAM business delegation engaged exchanges with other companies exploring business cooperation.
