  • 10th March 2026
On March 9th 2026, a delivery ceremony for a batch of Zhongtong bus N12 dual-source trolleybuses exported to Mexico was held at Zhongtong bus headquarters in Liaocheng. This marks Mexico’s second purchase of these buses since 2021. These new buses will travel across the ocean to Mexico and be put into operation in Mexico City, supporting the upcoming FIFA World Cup.This batch delivery of repurchased goods is a testament to the fruitful results of Zhongtong bus’s deep cultivation in the Mexican market, and also marks the accelerated global expansion of Chinese new energy buses, injecting surging momentum into the global green transportation transformation.

“Mexico is a key market for Zhongtong bus’s overseas expansion. Since establishing a partnership with ZAPATA in 2021, the two sides have worked hand in hand to cultivate the market, enabling Zhongtong’s green buses to reach every corner of Mexico and making Zhongtong an important participant in the upgrading of local public transportation,” said Wang Xingfu, Party Secretary and Chairman of Zhongtong Bus.

Going forward, Zhongtong bus will continue to deepen its strategic cooperation with its Mexican partners, providing high-quality services across the entire chain, from product customization and delivery assurance to after-sales maintenance, and contributing more Zhongtong strength to the green transformation of public transportation in Mexico.

According to Mr.Adrian, CEO of the purchasing company, Mexico’s Cisa Group, these electric vehicles will be put into operation during the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Mexico. “We believe these vehicles will greatly improve the service quality for users of Mexico City’s electric transportation system and help better prepare for the 2026 World Cup held in Mexico City,” Adrian said.

Mexico is one of the important markets in the global expansion of China’s automotive industry. Zhongtong bus has been operating in the country since entering the market in 2009.Click here read the original content
