Cainiao launches own warehouse in Mexico

  • 28th September 2025

Recently, Cainiao Network officially put its self-operated overseas warehouse in Mexico City, the capital of Mexico, into operation. Boasting a superior geographical location, the warehouse is within a 1-hour drive of Mexico City International Airport and the capital’s central business districts, and offers efficient connectivity to major cities such as Monterrey through Cainiao’s national logistics network.

Leveraging Cainiao’s self-operated express delivery network, the warehouse’s services cover the entire territory of Mexico. Particularly in core regions like the State of Mexico, it can provide efficient “fastest 2-day delivery” services.

Digital Management with Outstanding Operational Indicators

The newly launched self-operated overseas warehouse in Mexico adopts Cainiao’s mature digital management system. Merchants can access real-time end-to-end data—including inventory information, inbound/outbound data, and logistics tracking—through Cainiao’s self-developed warehouse management system. High-quality warehouse and distribution services have ensured that core indicators such as timely order fulfillment rate, timely shipment scanning rate, and timely delivery completion rate are all stabilized at over 95%, injecting strong confidence into merchants exploring the Mexican market.

One-Stop Services to Solve Multi-Platform Operation ChallengesCainiao has achieved system integration with all major local e-commerce platforms in Mexico, providing merchants with a variety of value-added services and customized supply chain solutions, including dropshipping, return management, carton splitting/combining and putaway, and product photography. This enables merchants to realize “operating on multiple platforms while shipping from a single warehouse”, significantly improving operational efficiency and reducing the complexity of logistics management.

Seizing the Growth Opportunity of Mexico’s E-Commerce Market

Mexico’s e-commerce market is showing vibrant momentum. According to data from Mexico’s Association of Online Sales (AMVO), Mexico’s online retail market revenue reached as high as USD 39.1 billion in 2024, with a year-on-year growth of nearly 20%, and has maintained double-digit growth for six consecutive years. Cainiao’s move to strengthen logistics infrastructure in Mexico this time is a response to the tremendous potential of the local e-commerce market and its urgent demand for efficient logistics services.

Cainiao’s deployment of the self-operated overseas warehouse in Mexico not only improves the logistics efficiency for Chinese brands entering the North American market but also serves as a new link for deepening China-Mexico economic and trade relations.
