China–LATAM automotive forum at Automechanika

On November 28, 2025, as a key supporting event of Automechanika Expo Shanghai (one of the largest automotive expos in Asia), a special forum focusing on the China-Latin America automotive industry was successfully held.

Santiago Toledo, Commercial Counsellor of the Mexican Embassy in China attended the meeting, He comprehensively introduced the overview of Mexico’s automotive industry, focusing on interpreting investment opportunities and the latest applicable policies in this field, providing references for Chinese enterprises to understand the Mexican market.

Victor Cadena, Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM), also delivered a  speech, sharing the development status of Chinese automakers and auto parts manufacturers in Mexico, and analyzing the domestic automotive consumption trends and auto export prospects in Mexico under the framework of the USMCA.

In addition, Inty Mendoza, Chief Representative of São Paulo (SP) in China, attended on behalf of Brazil and shared insights focusing on the business opportunities for Chinese automotive enterprises in the Brazilian market, providing diverse perspectives for Chinese enterprises to explore the South American market.

After the presentation session, Paulo Mutuc, Associated Director of Frost & Sullivan, moderated a panel discussion. The on-site Q&A session was lively, with guests conducting in-depth exchanges on in-depth exchanges on automotive industry between China and Latin America.
