MEXCHAM attended the 15th China-LAC Business Summit

Last December 14-15, 2022, the 15th China Latin America and Caribbean Business Summit was successfully held in Guayaquil, Ecuador. As one of the most important business Summit between China and Latin America and the Caribbean, the Summit counted with the participations of hundreds of business leaders and government officials.


The opening ceremony of the Summit was headed by Ecuador’s President, Guillermo Lasso.

The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) participated with a business delegation headed by its Executive President, Efrén Calvo, who actively participated in two panels during the Summit.

In addition, MEXCHAM’s Executive President, Efrén Calvo, announced during the Summit the launching of the Centre of Commercial and Academic Intelligence, which aims act as bridge for fostering trade, investments and cooperation between China and Latin America and the Caribbean. This initiative is open for all the stakeholders beyond borders to join and achieve win-win cooperation and development together.

MEXCHAM thanks the support of the Ecuador Embassy in China headed by Ambassador Carlos Larrea, as well as the Central government of Ecuador for supporting MEXCHAM’s initiative.

In addition MEXCHAM signed two strategic MOU during the Summit for promoting trade and investments between China and México.

Next near, the 16th China-LAC Business Summit is expected to take place in Beijing. As every year, MEXCHAM will support this Summit and will participate with a large business delegation.
