MEXCHAM’s participation at CIMAMotor 2025 Forum

The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) took part in the CIMAMotor 2025 Forum, the most important motorcycle fair in China and one of the leading events worldwide.

MEXCHAM´s Chongqing Chapter President, Julio Cruz, was invited as a speaker and shared the stage with distinguished figures such as Tu Xingyong (Deputy Director of the Chongqing Municipal Commission of Economy and Informatization), Zuo Zongshen (President of the China Chamber of Commerce for Motorcycles and Chairman of Zongshen Group), Wang Yuling (All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce), Wang Liliang (Rongchang District Investment Promotion Office), Luo Xiaochun (Deputy Secretary of the Dazu District Committee), and Chen Mingyou (Strategic Consultant and a key figure in China’s motorcycle industry).

In his remarks, Julio Cruz addressed the challenges and opportunities in Mexico´s motorcycle industry given the Bill that proposes tariff adjustment announced last September 9th, 2025, which are not in force yet. He emphasized that Mexico has several industrial regions capable of supplying parts locally, supporting jobs, and strengthening the supply chain. He highlighted that Mexico is not only a growing market but also a long-term partner for international manufacturers in production, services, and innovation.

He further noted that Mexico is the world’s second-largest importer of Chinese motorcycles. According to INEGI, the motorcycle fleet reached 7.8 million units in 2023. In 2024, annual sales rose to 1.6 million units, marking a historic milestone: for the first time, motorcycle sales surpassed car sales.

Through this participation, MEXCHAM reinforces its commitment to promoting a more balanced, sustainable, and mutually beneficial trade relationship between Mexico and China, while building strong business bridges at the highest level.
