  • 13th February 2026

Chinese ice cream and tea brand Mixue has opened its first branch in Mexico, located at 15 Monte de Piedad Street in the historic center of Mexico City.

Mixue is a chain brand primarily offering ice cream and tea drinks in the Chinese mainland. Founded in Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China in 1997, it is known for its high-quality, affordable products and has stores throughout China, particularly concentrated in first- and second-tier cities. In addition to the Chinese mainland, Mixue Ice Cream began its overseas expansion in 2018, initially focusing on Southeast Asia.

Mixue, known for its iconic mascot “Snow King,” offers affordable ice cream, bubble tea, and a variety of sweet drinks, generating great interest among consumers. The first customers have already celebrated the new store opening on social media.

As of January 2025, Mixue Group had a total of 46,479 stores, making it the chain restaurant company with the most branches in the world, replacing large companies such as McDonald’s. The “Snow King” has a presence in at least 13 countries outside of China.

Chinese brand Mixue is entering the Mexican market with its brand philosophy, and even its pricing reflects this. According to social media posts, the products are quite affordable and offer a wide variety of types and flavors.

With the opening of its first branch in Mexico’s historic center, Chinese brand Mixue has sparked a wave of excitement online, with many netizens sharing the moment and offering their recommendations.
