The Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) is very delighted to promote the upcoming Agave Spirits Festival to you. This event will be held in Beijing for three consecutive days on the 18th, 19th and 20th of October.

Stage – If you love agave spirits culture, then you don’t want to miss this out! We have setup products presentations / launch and master classes on our main stage, hosted by the most knowledgeable agave spirits experts and brand owners! In between presentations we will also run video clips of Mezcal/Tequila productions and history videos on our TV screen. Stage time is between 2-5pm, Sat/Sun.

As the first female President of Mexico, a scientist, and former mayor of Mexico City, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) wishes her all the success in her tenure as President. Meanwhile, MEXCHAM reaffirms its commitment to continue building bridges between Mexico and China, promoting trade, investments, and friendship between our countries.
On September 26, 2024, a Cooperation Meeting between Foreign Business Organizations in China and Wuxi was held in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, China.
The meeting was headed by the Wuxi Foreign Affairs Office, and different International Chambers of Commerce and Association participated. On behalf of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM), Mr. Julio Vallarta, MEXCHAM’s local President in the Nanjing Chapter, delivered a speech about the business cooperation between Mexico and China, with a particular focus on Wuxi and Jiangsu Province.
Dr. Efrén Calvo serves as Executive President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM)and President of Beijing Openmind Services, Ltd.
He has over 30 years’ experience working in international trade, government and strategic consulting in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Frequent speaker on China-Latin America at business forums and international media. Mr. Calvo expertise includes industries such as mining, automotive, seafood and meat, as well as investments and real estate.
Mr. Cadena serves as Executive Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM).He has over 12 years’ experience working in providing legal and business consulting in Mexico and China focusing on m&a, cross border transactions and business development between China and Latin America. He has advised dozens of Latin companies entering and doing business in China as well as Chinese companies doing business in Latin America, including SOE, SMEs and local governments.
Mr. Cadena holds a Law Degree by the National University Autonomous of Mexico, Master of Law in Political Science/International Relations by Tsinghua University, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) by Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, also holds Diplomas in Finance regulations by the Mexican Stock Exchange and Hedge Funds by RenMin University.
