Last August 14, 2022, the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM) attended the 8th International Chamber of Commerce Trade & Investments Conference held last August 14, 2022 in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.
During the conference, MEXCHAM was represented by Yonanetl Zavala, who introduced an overview of Mexico-China bilateral trade and business opportunities.

Dr. Efrén Calvo serves as Executive President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM)and President of Beijing Openmind Services, Ltd.
He has over 30 years’ experience working in international trade, government and strategic consulting in Asia, Europe and the Americas. Frequent speaker on China-Latin America at business forums and international media. Mr. Calvo expertise includes industries such as mining, automotive, seafood and meat, as well as investments and real estate.
Mr. Cadena serves as Executive Vice President of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM).He has over 12 years’ experience working in providing legal and business consulting in Mexico and China focusing on m&a, cross border transactions and business development between China and Latin America. He has advised dozens of Latin companies entering and doing business in China as well as Chinese companies doing business in Latin America, including SOE, SMEs and local governments.
Mr. Cadena holds a Law Degree by the National University Autonomous of Mexico, Master of Law in Political Science/International Relations by Tsinghua University, Masters in Business Administration (MBA) by Guanghua School of Management of Peking University, also holds Diplomas in Finance regulations by the Mexican Stock Exchange and Hedge Funds by RenMin University.
