Mexico adds 20 industrial parks with US$763 million

  • 23rd October 2026

On 22 October 2026, the Mexican government announced 20 new industrial parks to be developed by the Mexican Association of Private Industrial Parks (Asociación Mexicana de Parques Industriales Privados, AMPIP), across eight states and 17 municipalities. The parks total about 4.6 million square metres, plan for 175 companies, carry US$763 million in investment and are expected to generate 32,127 jobs.
By region, ten parks are in the northern border corridor in Coahuila and Nuevo León, with 3.16 million square metres, 75 companies and 26,800 jobs; five are along the Felipe Ángeles airport corridor in five municipalities of Mexico City and the State of Mexico, with 166,000 square metres of warehouse space, 26 companies and 1,727 jobs; three are in the Bajío region in Aguascalientes, Guanajuato and Querétaro, with 915,000 square metres, 54 companies and 1,500 jobs; and two are in the Gulf of California border area in Baja California, with 309,000 square metres, 20 companies and 2,100 jobs.
The 20 parks add to 20 already in operation, bringing the total to 40, or 40% of Plan México’s target of 100 industrial parks. The announcement did not disclose the name of each park, its municipality, or the companies expected to occupy it. AMPIP separately said US$4.6 billion will be invested in 2026 in auto parts, medical devices, aerospace, industrial machinery and electronic equipment; that is an annual investment figure and does not add up with the US$763 million for these 20 parks.
