On November 28, 2025, Welling Automotive Components, a subsidiary of Midea Group, officially announced that its overseas production base in Monterrey, Mexico, has commenced operations, with the first new energy vehicle thermal management series product successfully rolling off the production line.
The Mexico base is Welling Automotive Components’ first manufacturing facility overseas. It synergizes with its dual domestic production bases in Hefei and Anqing, forming a coordinated “domestic + overseas” manufacturing network system. This layout directly targets the North American new energy vehicle market, significantly shortening customer delivery cycles and enhancing localized service response speed. As a key cluster for the North American automotive industry, the Monterrey region hosts multiple international vehicle manufacturers and component suppliers. Establishing a plant here enables Welling to deeply integrate into the regional supply chain.
Since its establishment in 2018, leveraging Midea Group’s long-term technological expertise in electromechanical fields, Welling Automotive Components has rapidly grown into a major supplier in the core components market for new energy vehicles. By the end of 2024, cumulative deliveries of its three major product categories—thermal management, electric drive, and chassis execution—reached 3 million units, with electric compressor production exceeding 1 million units. The smooth operation of the Mexico base marks a critical step in Welling’s global strategy. By providing localized support to North American customers, it is poised to further strengthen its competitiveness in the global new energy vehicle components market.
