China’s Dongfeng partners with Motornation in Mexico

China’s Dongfeng Motor Corporation has entered into a strategic partnership with Mexican auto importer Motornation recently, aiming to leverage its distribution network to strengthen the Dongfeng brand’s influence in the Mexican market and reshape the Dongfeng car consumer experience.

Motornation has 26 dealerships that will sell Dongfeng Motor’s Box (urban electric vehicle), Shine (MPV), Mage (compact SUV), and M3 (van), as well as products from other brands. In addition to sales, Motornation’s service workshops will provide after-sales service for Dongfeng Motor, and its technicians will be trained to meet the new brand’s quality standards.

Both companies stated that this collaboration aims not only to expand market share but also to fundamentally change the consumer experience of Chinese cars in Mexico, improving the entire service process, including quality standards, parts supply, technical response, and customer satisfaction.

Dongfeng Motor’s entry into the Mexican market in early 2025 not only provides consumers with new choices but also showcases the transformative trends in the global automotive industry. Asian brands are leading industry trends, and the Mexican market provides fertile ground for their development. The collaboration between Dongfeng and Motornation will strengthen Mexican consumers’ trust in Chinese vehicles. “This represents the most significant effort to date to enhance the image of the Chinese automotive industry in the Mexican market regarding quality, innovation, and reliability,” Dongfeng Motor emphasized in a statement.
