From August 25 to September 2, 2026, with the support of the Mexican Chamber of Commerce in China (MEXCHAM), JCtrans organized 7 outstanding logistics enterprises to launch a 9-day business tour in Mexico. Dr. Efrén Calvo Adame, Executive President of MEXCHAM, accompanied the delegation throughout the trip and provided professional resource support for the business tour.

Covering two core logistics cities of Mexico City and Manzanillo, the delegation went deep into local industrial frontlines including air cargo hubs, deep-water ports and warehousing bases. Centering on air logistics, port transportation, customs clearance and warehousing, supply chain supporting and local enterprise cooperation, the team conducted multiple government-enterprise forums and on-site investigations, building an efficient communication bridge for China-Mexico logistics industries and helping participating enterprises accurately connect with high-quality local resources.
The delegation visited the cargo terminal of Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA), and systematically investigated the airport’s operation mode, air cargo supporting facilities, standardized customs clearance procedures and medium and long-term expansion development plans.
In early 2026, the air cargo business of AIFA developed steadily, occupying an important market share in Mexico’s national air cargo volume. During the inspection, the delegation had in-depth exchanges with the airport management team on the construction of China-Mexico air cargo passages, cross-border comprehensive logistics solutions and bonded warehousing resource cooperation. It enabled domestic logistics enterprises to clearly understand the current situation and development potential of Mexico’s air logistics industry and lay a solid foundation for layout in the North American cross-border market.

As a core gateway port on Mexico’s Pacific coast, Port of Manzanillo is a key transit hub connecting Asian manufacturing bases with Mexican and North American consumer markets. In the first five months of 2026, the container throughput of Manzanillo Port maintained steady growth. With the upgrading and expansion of port infrastructure, the port’s cargo throughput and comprehensive service capabilities continue to improve.
The delegation successively visited the national port system administration (ASIPONA Manzanillo), strategic port alliance group and container terminal operating enterprises, conducting all-round research on core sectors including overall port planning, on-site operation management and warehousing supporting systems. Relevant institutions respectively introduced the overall port operation system, warehousing service capacity and standardized operation processes of terminal loading and unloading as well as yard management.
Participating enterprises held targeted discussions on business scenarios such as freight forwarding cooperation, customs clearance coordination, warehousing leasing and terminal distribution, comprehensively sorting out the whole process of customs clearance, warehousing and distribution for Chinese-made goods after landing in Mexico, and breaking practical barriers for cross-border logistics implementation. Meanwhile, the delegation communicated with local leading logistics enterprises to explore diversified long-term business cooperation opportunities.
In addition to on-site industrial visits, the delegation held closed-door special exchange meetings with many authoritative government agencies and industry associations in Mexico, including mainstream institutions such as the Mexican Association of Logistics Operators (AOLM), Secretariat of Economic Development of Mexico City (SEDECO CDMX), National Chamber of the Transformation Industry (CANACINTRA), Employers’ Confederation of the Mexican Republic (COPARMEX) and Association of Entrepreneurs and Sister Cities (AECH).

The series of forums conducted in-depth discussions on Mexico’s local economic and trade policies, industrial development demands, logistics infrastructure layout and local enterprise resource networks, helping the delegation achieve all-round upgrading from market understanding and resource connections to in-depth cooperation. The 2026 JCtrans’ Mexico business tour enabled domestic logistics enterprises to directly access the frontline Latin American market and obtain first-hand industry information and high-quality cooperation resources accurately. Participating enterprises have not only deepened their professional cognition of Mexico’s cross-border logistics market, but also accumulated a large number of government and enterprise resources for long-term follow-up.
As the supporting organization of this business tour, MEXCHAM has always been committed to building a bridge for business exchanges between China and Mexico and helping Chinese enterprises expand into the Latin American market. In the future, MEXCHAM will continue to give play to cross-border resource advantages, carry out government-business meetings, business tour and industrial exchanges, and continuously empower the high-quality development of cross-border trade and logistics industries between China and Mexico.
