Sunpure secures solar robotics contract in Mexico

  • 19th October 2026

According to Sunpure, in October 2026 Sunpore signed a cooperative agreement for the Puerto Peñasco photovoltaic project in Mexico, launching an integrated solution for PV module installation and intelligent cleaning. The company will deploy over one thousand Venus hanging cleaning robots and several Saturn installation robots to serve the construction and long-term operation of the local power station, expanding its business footprint in the Latin American new energy market.

Intelligent devices adapt to local working conditions

Located in the coastal area of northern Mexico, the project features dry, rainless climate and frequent wind and sand weather. The special terrain leads to higher support height, increasing difficulties for manual installation. Tailored for local site conditions, Sunpure Saturn installation robots are applied for module transportation and precise positioning, adapting to high-bracket construction scenarios and ensuring standardized on-site installation.

Customized maintenance solution for new-type PV equipment

Affected by frequent sand deposition and low rainfall, local photovoltaic stations face continuous dust accumulation and require stable daily maintenance. Targeting the ultra-narrow frame modules and innovative support structures adopted in the project, Sunpure completed customized equipment adaptation with arched fixing frames and specialized walking wheels. Venus hanging cleaning robots support regular water-free intelligent cleaning, meeting the operational standards of new-type PV equipment and ensuring stable and efficient long-term station operation.

Localized services improve overseas delivery system in Latin America

Supported by its mature local service team and standardized delivery system in Latin America, Sunpure coordinates domestic technical and delivery teams to promote project implementation, including equipment installation, commissioning and long-term operational support. The signing of this large-scale integrated PV project marks the continuous expansion of the company’s overseas business. With service coverage extending from independent maintenance to integrated installation and operation solutions, Sunpure steadily deepens new energy industrial cooperation between China and Latin America.
