East Point signs IMMEX Shelter Agreement for Mexico Base

  • 30th October 2026

On October 28, 2026, BSE-listed East Point Communication Technology Co.,Ltd. (Securities Code: 920045) disclosed that, to support the operation of its production base in Mexico, its subsidiary EPCOMM INC. has signed a service agreement with a shelter services provider in Mexico, for which the company will provide a guarantee.

Under the arrangement, the company, acting as applicant and guarantor, will apply to China Merchants Bank Shenzhen Branch for a standby letter of credit, providing a joint and several guarantee for the payment obligations of its US subsidiary under the agreement, in an amount of up to US$800,000 and valid for one year. The proposal was approved by the board of directors on October 27.

According to the disclosure, EPCOMM INC. was incorporated in 2017 in Hayward, California, engaging in the sales of optical fiber communication products, and reported total assets of about RMB 23.34 million as of end-September 2026. The company’s outstanding guarantees to its subsidiaries stood at RMB 10 million at the end of the reporting period, with no overdue guarantees.

The IMMEX Shelter model adopted by East Point is a common market-entry arrangement for foreign manufacturers in Mexico: a licensed local provider acts as the nominal importer and compliance entity, allowing foreign companies to start production without obtaining manufacturing permits on their own. The model has been adopted by a number of Chinese electronics companies setting up plants in Mexico in recent years.
