Carthane Plans Phase Two at Its Mexico Plant

According to the company’s investor briefing held on September 8, 2026, Shanghai Carthane Co., Ltd. (Carthane, 603037.SH) now has three polyurethane buffer-block production lines at its base in Guanajuato, Mexico, one of which is completed while two are under installation and commissioning, together with one brake pedal line and one electronic accelerator pedal line. The company said it will launch a phase-two project in light of actual operating conditions to expand capacity at the base and accelerate market development.

The base was established in 2023 and began mass production and delivery in early 2025, and it is currently operating smoothly. According to the company, its global layout is designed so that its plants in China serve Asia, the Mexico subsidiary serves North and South America, and its Morocco subsidiary serves Europe and Africa.

According to the company, it is already a supplier to international automakers and suspension-system companies including Porsche, Volkswagen, Audi, General Motors, Ford, and Stellantis. The Mexico base, now in operation, helps the company better serve overseas customers, reduce costs, and improve supply efficiency.
