Are you planning to visit Mexico but don’t have a Mexican visa? There are alternative options that may allow you to enter Mexico without a traditional Mexican visa.
The following documents are an alternative to the Mexican visa, which the foreigner may present:
1. Document proving permanent residence in Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area, as well as in the member countries of the Pacific Alliance (Chile, Colombia and Peru)
2. Valid and current visa from Canada, the United States of America, Japan, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland or any of the countries that make up the Schengen Area
3. APEC Business Traveler Card (ABTC) approved by Mexico (only for entry by air and for business travel)
4. Certificate that accredits you as a member of the crew of the aircraft in which you arrive
5. Sea book, if you are a member of the crew of the vessel that arrives at a Mexican port on an international voyage. If the crew member arrives by air to enlist on a ship leaving in a national port, he must present, in addition to the sea book, a document that certifies his enlistment, the data of the vessel and the Mexican port in which it is located.
