Daimay invests US$56 million in Mexico

COAHUILA – The Chinese company Daimay continues its expansion in Mexico with a significant investment of US$56 million for the municipalities of Ramos Arizpe and Parras de la Fuente, in Coahuila. With this initiative, the company is committed to strengthening its presence in the North American market.

In Ramos Arizpe, Daimay inaugurated its sixth plant, specialized in the production of headrests and armrests, an investment of US$17.2 million that will contribute to the generation of one thousand direct jobs.

This new plant is in addition to the five already existing in the region, bringing the total number of jobs generated by the company to 5,000, surpassing even some automakers.

In addition to the industrial expansion, Daimay plans to build a housing complex in Ramos Arizpe to house foreign workers. This first phase of the project is intended for 500 employees, mainly from other regions of Coahuila and nearby states. The investment for this complex will be US$9 million, and rent will be free for workers, which reinforces the company’s labor policies.

On the other hand, three new plants are being built in Parras de la Fuente and will be operating by 2027. These facilities will receive an investment of US$28.3 million and it is estimated that they will generate 2,500 jobs, although information on the products that will be manufactured in these new plants is still being withheld.

The General Manager of Daimay Mexico, Edgar Montes, highlighted the company’s growth, which has gone from producing viscera to a wide range of automotive components, such as components for seats, awnings and consoles.” Coahuila has been a second home for Daimay, a pillar in our development,’ said Edgar Montes.
