RECAP: Seminar Investing in Mexico (Suzhou)

On August 15th, 2024, the Seminar Investing in Mexico (Manufactured in Suzhou·Setting Sail for Mexico) was held in Suzhou. MEXCHAM participated in this seminar as co-organizer, which was organized by Suzhou Industrial Park, Jilian Group and Bank of Ningbo.

Deputy Director of Jilian Group, Gao Jiageng hosted the seminar.
Mr. David Trujillo from Trade and Investment Affairs of the Mexican Embassy in China, and Mr. Rodrigo Topete Maza, acting Consul of the Mexican Consulate General in Shanghai, presented an in-depth analysis of Mexico’s industrial advantages, investment environment and market access rules, and gave an overview of its preferential investment policies.

Founder and Director of JiLian Group, Wan Jun shared the process and recommendatios for enterprises to invest and build factories in Mexico.

MEXCHAM’s Executive Vice President Victor Cadena introduced the business environment in Mexico and demonstrated the investment opportunities in Mexico through facts and data.

China Manager of Terra Regia, Liu Tanghua introduced the industrial land and infrastructure in Mexico, providing important reference for enterprises to select sites in Mexico.

Fangda Partners partner Bu Rui, Global Touch Overseas Operations Director Tang Wan’er, and  Senior Assistant Manager of Bank of Ningbo Sun Wei shared their experiences on topics such as “Legal Risk Management”, “Overseas Employment Strategies” and “Practical Difficulties of Going Overseas”.

At the end of the seminar, a roundtable discussion was held. The guests included Zhu Ning, visiting professor at Sydney Business School of Shanghai University, Ding Xiaofeng, partner of Fangda Partners, David Xie, expert of the Professional Committee of Global Overseas Human Resources Exchange Alliance, and Rong Jun, ecological director of Haoshu Capital and head of the cross-border support center. They had an in-depth discussion on the theme of “Analysis of expectations and challenges of Chinese companies investing in Mexico”.

MEXCHAM is glad to support Chinese companies interests in investing in Mexico and looks forward to more trade and investment between Suzhou and Mexico.
