On August 21, 2026, MTC released official announcement regarding the construction of its new Mexico production base. Adopting a subsidiary-based localized operation model, the company optimizes its China-Mexico cross-border industrial layout, strengthens Chinese manufacturing presence in North America, and promotes bilateral economic and trade collaboration.
Subsidiary-led investment boosts China-Mexico industrial layout
On August 19, 2026, MTC’s board approved the investment proposal for the Mexico manufacturing base. The project is implemented and operated by the company’s wholly-owned subsidiary in Singapore or its subordinate wholly-owned Mexican subsidiary. With a maximum investment of 38.33 million US dollars (approximately 261 million yuan), the project funds cover plant construction, equipment procurement and local operational management, adopting a standardized subsidiary-based overseas production system.
Leveraging Mexico’s location to expand China’s North American export access
This China-Mexico industrial layout marks a key milestone in MTC’s global strategy. Benefiting from Mexico’s proximity to North American consumer markets and complete cross-border supporting facilities, the company optimizes its cross-border supply chain system and builds a collaborative operation model of “China R&D + Mexico manufacturing + North American direct sales”. The layout shortens delivery cycles and cuts cross-border logistics costs, helping Chinese intelligent manufacturing better adapt to North American market demands and enhance regional supply chain competitiveness.
Steady global layout deepens China-Mexico industrial linkage
By deploying independent operational subsidiaries in Mexico, MTC sets a solid example for Chinese enterprises expanding cross-border cooperation with Mexico. The localized production model improves overseas business resilience and diversifies market risks. In the future, the Mexico base will undertake North American orders and deliver localized manufacturing services, continuously promoting industrial integration and bilateral trade upgrading between China and Mexico.
